Tucker Salovaara is a graduate of the NYC College of Technology. He completed his B-Tech in Emerging Media Technologies with a concentration in Media Design. His passion is to advocate on behalf of the Differently-Abled communities.

Since college, Tucker has been working on broadening his skills in Web Accessibility. He was fortunate to help Jason Dasilva and his company AXSLab make their website more accessible for differently-abled users. Because of Tucker’s experience working with this company, he was able to land a contract working with Theater Breaking Through Barriers (TBTB) that is the only professional Off-Broadway theatre company, that works with both able-bodied and disabled actors. Tucker is a Business Administrative Apprentice for TBTB and his roles are to manage the company’s Social Media platforms and update the website. He’s also learning about Fundraising strategies and Grant Writing.

Tucker is well known in the NYC disabled community. He always has been participating in a lot of different kinds of disability events throughout his youth and young adulthood. Tucker hopes to use his connections to get an advocacy position in the future.
